Why trusting yourself is key to your writing success
Writing a book isn’t about having all the answers from the get-go. It’s about believing in yourself.
I believe in all the writers I work with – otherwise, I wouldn't work with them. I believe they are capable of writing a book.
But my belief is not enough.
If you don't believe, in your gut, that you can write the story you want to tell or share the message you want to convey, I can't believe you into writing it.
It’s like Cinderella going to the ball—her fairy godmother gave her the dress, but she had to believe she could dance the night away.
As a book coach, my role isn’t just to teach you how to write. I’m here to help you see the big picture, keep you on track, and remind you that you are capable of more than you think. I’m your biggest cheerleader and also your tough-love guide who tells you when it’s time to stop doubting and start writing.
Believing in yourself is the foundation of your writing journey. It’s the thing that will carry you through the tough days and keep you going when it feels like the world is against you.
Without it, even the best guidance and support won't be enough.
Believe in yourself, and remember, I believe in you too.
Hello!
My name is Jocelyn.
Story warrior, book lover, day dreamer, gardener, and creative. I help serious writers roll up their sleeves, get their novel ready for publishing, and reach readers. When I’m not elbow-deep in the story trenches, I’m outside world-building in my garden and battling weeds with my three criminal mastermind cats.
